June 9. The Kiwanis Club of Lake Norman recently awarded $1,000 college scholarships to five high school seniors, all of whom are members of local Key Clubs.

The recipients of this year’s scholarships are: Claire MacKenzie of Hough High School, Tasha Regan of Hopewell High School, Sarah DiGioia of Community School of Davidson, and Mary Chiappetta and Kyle Brown of Lake Norman Charter High School.

In the past 22 years, Lake Norman Kiwanis has awarded over $80,000 in college scholarships.
