April 12. “Beyond Walls,” the town’s new open air public art exhibition, officially opens Saturday in Robbins Park with a wine reception sponsored by Cornelius Today.

Ten monumental pieces—some colorful, some imposing—are on display on the lawn at the park. It’s all part of the PARC Department’s 20th anniversary.

The lawn at the park provides an accessible and contemplative setting. Of the 32 artist submissions representing seven different states, only 10 were selected by the town’s Public Art Committee.

Many of the artists will attend the opening reception on Saturday, April 16, with remarks beginning at 5:30 pm and an artist talk at 6.
