April 7. This year’s Loch Norman Highland Games, held April 16-17 at Historic Rural Hill in Huntersville, will feature the Rural Hill Scotch Whisky Seminar. Presented by McIntosh Law Firm, the seminar will expose participants to the world of Scotch whisky by allowing them to taste and explore several different varieties. Always informative, never stuffy or boring, the seminars bring unique flavor to the Loch Norman Highland Games.
In conjunction with the Scotch whisky seminars, Rural Hill will offer a seminar on whiskies of the world presented by established experts. Ticket holders will be treated to an educational and delicious seminar comparing and contrasting American, Irish, Japanese, Canadian, and Scottish whiskies.
Tickets are $35 for each tasting, or $60 with the purchase of two in a day. You must purchase a Loch Norman Highland Games admission ticket to purchase a whisky tasting ticket. Each ticket includes a limited-edition tasting glass.
Seminars will be held at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. April 16 and 17 inside the Rural Hill Cultural Center. Scotch tastings will be different each day, so feel free to attend all both seminars for the ultimate experience. The whiskies of the world seminars will use the same stock both days.
