Human trafficking roundtable April 2

The Salvation Army’s Project Fight, in partnership with the Human Trafficking Roundtable of Mecklenburg County and End Human Trafficking Ministry, will hold a Human Trafficking Awareness Event on Saturday, April 2 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. The North Carolina program has trained more than 4,500 professionals and community members through the development of Rapid Response Teams and Community Outreach Teams. Law enforcement, medical/mental health and legal professionals are encouraged to learn more about the collaboration of the Rapid Response Team while working on the front line with victims of trafficking. Individuals and members of businesses, churches or civic organizations wanting to organize an educational effort for the local community are encouraged to work through the Community Outreach Team. Check in for participants begins at 8:30am and the session will run from 9am until 11:30am.
