April 29. A Kentucky Derby celebration to benefit Cool Kids Clubhouse will take place on Saturday, May 3, from 4 pm to 7 pm at The Plaza in Birkdale Village.

The event includes live music, pop-up crafts and betting.

All betting proceeds will be donated to Cool Kids Clubhouse.

There will be Derby-themed beverages, including Mint Juleps and Margaritas served by bartaco and Red Rocks Café.

Cool Kids Clubhouse is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children battling cancer and their families by addressing the academic, social and emotional challenges that arise from a cancer diagnosis.
