April 17. With Easter Sunday around the corner, the personal-finance website WalletHub released its Easter Survey, which found that 47% of Americans will skip dyeing eggs this Easter due to the price of eggs.
That means 53% of Americans plan to decorate Eater eggs, despite high egg prices. And more than 16 million Easter egg dyeing kits are sold each year.
About 180 million eggs are purchased for Easter. The average price of a dozen eggs in Cornelius is about $6.
