March 25. Seaboy Restaurant and Bar opens tomorrow on North Main in Cornelius, focusing on “good food, community and sustainability.”
The cozy—and hip at the same time—eatery is in the former DanielSan space at 20822 North Main. There are 10 tables in the dining room, with more seating on the patio.
Owner Jonathan Cox, the chef who has led kitchens for restarauteur Jon Dressler of Rare Roots Hospitality, says Seaboy is built on a love for good food, community, and sustainability.

Cox has worked in the kitchen of almost every Rare Roots concept and played an “integral part in particular at Dogwood, Fin & Fino Uptown, Fin & Fino Birkdale and Chapter 6,” according to founder Jon Dressler.
