Lenten Retreat: Reclaiming Mary Magdalene

She highlights the lack of images depicting this profound passage in Mark 14:9 and the need to commission art that depicts Gospel women in positions of authority, as noted in the Bible. Ultimately,Maczka invites us to celebrate Easter in its fullness, starting with anointing and ending with Mary Magdalene’s proclamation of the Resurrection when she becomes the Apostle to the Apostles. Cornelius Cardboard Boat Regatta
10:30 am-12:30 pm | May 3. Cornelius Parks and Recreation, Cornelius Police Department and the Joshua Murray Boating Safety Center are organizing the first Cornelius Cardboard Boat Regatta. Registered teams will design and construct their own boats, built primarily of cardboard and duct tape, and race them on Lake Norman.
