Susan M. Tillis Foundation has a new name

Susan Tillis: Red White & Bundled

Feb. 11. The Susan M. Tillis Foundation, which has served North Carolina’s military community by supporting some of its youngest families, has a new name: Red, White & Bundled. The rebranding reflects its commitment to military families by continuing to help raise awareness, hold supply drives and work with the business community to support military families in need.

Quotable

“From day one, our mission has been about the hundreds of volunteers who give their time and the thousands of military moms who inspire us. As we embrace this new chapter, we honor our past and step into a future where we can expand our reach, shine a light on the needs of military families, and provide the reassurance and care new mothers deserve during challenging times. We’re just getting started.”

— Susan Tillis, founder

Her husband is US Sen. Thom Tillis.

Background

At the heart of fulfilling RW&B’s mission is the “baby bundle”, a gift bag filled with essential items for newborns. More than 8500 new mothers who have given birth at military bases across North Carolina have been provided with its signature “baby bundle” since the foundation’s inception.

The Red, White and Bundled celebration, a large-scale baby shower first held in 2015, will be held in May.
