Jan. 9. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch starting Friday morning and ending Saturday morning . If it’s a prolonged sleet and freezing rain event, treacherous roads and downed limbs are quite possible.
Snow likely, mainly after 4 pm tomorrow with a high near 36.
Friday night will bring more snow and sleet before midnight, then freezing rain between midnight and 5 am, then freezing rain likely, possibly mixed with sleet after 5 am.
The chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
TV meteorologists say our cold weather has lowered ground temperatures enough for snow to stick fairly quickly.
Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 41.
