Jan. 8. A pub reminiscent of gathering places in the British Isles has opened in Jetton Village in the former Cornelius Draft House space. Proprietors James Holywell and Agnes Syslo say opening the Penny Lane pub is a dream come true, having operated a cozy bar on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
The couple traveled the US and fell in love with this area
Holywell is from Liverpool, while Syslo is from Krakow in Poland.
Penny Lane is already popular with the international set; it opens early for international soccer matches. Karaoke, trivia night and live music are also part of the mix, as well as a couch, comfortable chairs and a fireplace.
Popular drinks, in addition to Guinness and Fuller’s London Pride, include old fashions, $12 and up, and espresso martinis, $13 and up.

Sounds like a good place. Looking forward to trying it out. Will there be any food?
It’s the best place to hang out, has an amazing vibe, and the owners are incredible!
Great atmosphere, great entertainment, great owners.
One of the friendliest watering holes in the LKN area! Jimmy and Agnes are great hosts. Lots of TVs, comfortable seats, cool music. Highly recommended.
This is great we look forward to coming over!
Wonderful couple and great business! Best of luck!
We love Jimmy and Agnes. To see them bring Penny Lane to life has been amazing! With both my Mother and Father being from England, as well as myself serving 4 of my 8 years in the USAF stationed there, it’s so nice to have that true pure English pub atmosphere. Great job to them for filling a void. Sometimes you just want to go enjoy a beverage in a comfortable home like environment Well done!
