Dec. 16. By Dave Vieser. At tonight’s Town Board meeting, Cornelius commissioners will consider approval of a $399,000 contract to cover major improvements at Legion Park located just west of North Main near the American Legion Post.
The proposed work includes removal of the existing playground and installation of a new playground closer to the existing shelter, along with other site improvements.
Churchich Recreation & Design of Bluffton SC was chosen from a total of six construction companies submitting proposals.
The work must be completed by May 1, 2025.
The meeting will take place at Town Hall on Catawba Avenue beginning at 6 pm. It will also be live streamed on the town web site www.cornelius.org.
