5:30-8 pm | Dec. 6-8. Come and allow the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the town of Bethlehem to transport you to the night that Jesus Christ was born. Journey through ancient Bethlehem, take part in the census decreed by King Herod, see the Inn and the marketplace bustling with activity. 42nd Annual North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade
1-3 pm | Dec. 7. The parade route is approximately 2 miles long and follows Main Street (Hwy. 115) in Davidson, ending at the intersection of North Main Street and Catawba Avenue in Cornelius.
Merry Main Street Tricycle Race
3-4 pm | Dec. 7. After the parade, enjoy a tricycle race. This annual event includes four-person trike teams sponsored by Davidson businesses that race through an obstacle course for all to enjoy. Main Street in front of the Town Green, Davidson.
Dec. 7: Photos with Owl Claus at the Carolina Raptor Center
Noon – 3 pm | Dec. 7. Celebrate the holidays by meeting Owl Claus, who delivers gifts for the raptors, and Santa all in one day. Both Santas will be available for photos; you must bring your own phone or camera to take pictures on. Included with paid admission. Carolina Raptor Center, 6000 Sample Rd., Huntersville.
HEARTS Winter Wisdom: Stories from Cedar Grove
2-5 pm | Dec. 7. HEARTS Winter Wisdom ’24 welcomes back Margaret “Chuck” Basinger, who grew up in Cedar Grove and is the great-great-great granddaughter of Hugh Torance. She’ll share her memories growing up in the house, what has changed, and what’s remained the same. Live music and winter nature tips. Cedar Grove, 8229 Gilead Rd., Huntersville.

7-9 pm | Dec. 8. Vespers service of lessons and carols. The traditional candlelight worship service features the Chorale and Davidson Chamber Singers, and scripture readings. Guests include the Davidson College Pro Arte Brass and the Tower Ringers handbell choir. Free and open to the public. Davidson College Presbyterian Church Sanctuary.
Light of the World – A Concert for the Season
