Town holds first New Year’s Eve Bash for kids

Nov. 25. Registration opens today for a New Year’s Eve bash for the youngest party-goers.

The New Year’s Eve Bash for kids will Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at JV Washam Recreation Center, 9611 Westmoreland Road. The activities are for children ages 4-6

Registration opens Monday, Nov. 25, and is required, as spaces are limited. The cost is $15 Cornelius residents, $30 for others. The price is per child; parents are required to accompany their child, but do not register or pay.

Parents can purchase a food (pizza, drink, and desserts) voucher for $5.

Kids and their parents can enjoy:

Sparkling fun activities: Little ones can dive into a variety of activities such as a crafts photo area, dance parties and interactive games.

Yummy treats: The kid-friendly snack bar will be overflowing with pizza, sweets and festive goodies.

Music and dancing: A lively dance floor with kid-friendly tunes where they can show off their moves and join in on fun, interactive dances.

Craft Corner: Kids can make their own keepsake New Year’s Eve picture frames, noisemakers and more.

Countdown celebration: A special countdown celebration with plenty of noise makers and confetti. Toast to the new year with sparkling juice, making sure everyone feels like a VIP.
