Swing State Voter Survey: The Economy is Top Priority

Oct. 16. North Carolina is one of seven swing states—Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin are the others–where candidates from both the Democratic and Republican parties have similar levels of support.

Here’s what’s most on our minds in North Carolina, according to a new study from doxo, a bill paying platform for some 10 million consumers.

—The most important issue for North Carolina voters is the Economy (at 38%), followed by Healthcare (at 27%)

—Of economic issues, North Carolina voters care most about Inflation (at 45%), followed by Household Expenses (at 28%)

—For cost of living expenses, North Carolina voters care most about Grocery Prices (at 53%), then Rent/Mortgage (at 27%)

—In North Carolina, 61% of voters say the current economic climate is impacting who they will vote for

As a whole, swing state voters care the most about the economy, followed by reproductive rights, then immigration, then climate change.
