Thursday, Oct. 10

Fabulous Equinox Orchestra: Beatles to Bourbon St.

7 pm | Oct. 10. Along with the greatest Beatles tracks and other beloved tunes, favorites Jeremy Davis and Clay Johnson bring their rich camaraderie and charm to the stage with their talented big band. Tickets: $35-55. Cain Center for the Arts, Catawba Avenue.

The Complete History of America (Abridged)

7:30 pm | Oct. 11. Newly updated for the 2024 election, the Reduced Shakespeare Company returns with 600 Years of History in 6,000 seconds! Tickets: $35-55. Cain Center for the Arts, Catawba Avenue.

Merry Halloween Fall Festival

5:30 pm | Oct. 11. Merry Halloween Trail with family-friendly fun. Halloween costume shop, local vendors, food trucks and games. Legion Park, 21214 Legion St., Cornelius.

Craft night

6-9 pm | Oct. 11. Lean how to make rope baskets and coasters. Registration required. $25 Huntersville resident; $35 others. Info: jmurrow@huntersville.com. Huntersville Rec Center, 11836 Verhoeff Dr., Huntersville.

Second Friday Street Festival 

5-9 pm | Oct. 11. Live music featuring Union Groove, food trucks, craft brews, artisans and vendors. Kids’ Zone with inflatables, games, face-painting, and a petting zoos. Oak Street Mill, Cornelius.

Live Under The Oaks

6-8 pm | Oct. 11. Rockie Lynne Band. No coolers are allowed on property. A bar will be onsite in the designated area provided by Red Rocks for beverage needs. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Seating space may be limited. The Plaza, Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Saturday, Oct. 12

Shred Event

10 am – noon | Oct. 12. Shred Event sponsored by Susan Johnson + Associates / Keller Williams Lake Norman parking area, 19721 Bethel Church Rd., Cornelius. Bring your old documents, confidential files and no longer-needed important paperwork to be shred.  Paper, folders, hanging folders, paperclips, elastics, staples and metal clips can all be shredded.

Brat Trot 5K

9 am – noon  | Oct. 12. Benefits Lake Norman Humane. There will be Dog Adoption on site race day. On Tap, North Main Street, Mooresville.

Puzzle Swap

Jon Hill & Jon Singleton: Old-time Music

The Humans
