Oct. 4. Access to the lake via Duke Energy managed access areas and boat ramps remains closed to public use. Access areas should only be used by law enforcement, emergency and first responders.

According to Police Chief David Baucom, first responders can access them but no one else due to storm-related concerns.

“As conditions change they may re-open but that will be Duke’s decision,” he said.
