Sept. 18. Hough High School this morning reported an unspecified threat that resulted in a modified lockdown. Cornelius Police posted updates on Facebook.
The exact nature of the threat was not specified in a message from Hough’s principal, David Farley, at 11:06 am.

Learning and teaching continued during the modified lockdown, but with limited movement.
CPD said they are actively working on trying to find the source of the threats.
Background
On Monday, Cornelius Police responded to a pipe bomb threat at Bailey Middle that resulted in the evacuation of Bailey Middle School and a modified lockdown at nearby Hough High. That threat also came in to the school by phone.
No one has been apprehended.
