Aug. 27. Catawba Riversweep—the annual Lake Norman clean-up day—is Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 am to noon.

The Catawba Riversweep is one day a year when citizens from all over the Catawba-Wateree River Basin come together to clean up on the same day, launching from dozens of sites from Lake James to Lake Wateree.

Organizers say it will be a day of work, fun, fellowship and action.

Boats will be departing from Ramsey Creek Park in Cornelius, Beatty’s Ford Park in Denver and Lake Norman State Park in Troutman.

Register at https://catawbariversweep.org/

Feel free to invite other boat owners as well.

With just 3 hours of your time, you too can say “I am a Riverkeeper!” Register as an individual, business,  school, church or a group of friends and be a part of the largest river clean-up in the Southeast.
