Aug. 12. Davidson Community Players is enrolling adult students in its fall roster of classes, which run mid-September through mid-November.
- Stand-up Comedy: Mondays 5:30-7:30 pm. Your in-laws laugh at your jokes at Thanksgiving and ask, “What are you, some kind of comedian?” If the answer is maybe, this is your chance to see.
- Dramatic Writing: Mondays 7:30-9 pm. Calling all aspiring and experienced playwrights and screenwriters! This writer’s workshop will create a supportive environment where you can brainstorm, test, and develop your material.
- Scene Study: Tuesdays 7-9 pm. Get focused coaching on your craft as you present scenes from contemporary drama. Ideal for continuing students.
- Improv for Performance: Thursdays 7-9 pm. All the fun of a classic improv class with an extra twist: the term will culminate in a public performance opportunity for all students.
