July 10. Almost nine months after the $3 million road improvement project began, the ribbon-cutting for Jetton Road Extension will be held at 10 am this coming Friday in the new parking lot near 19924 Jetton.

Construction ended on time, much to the delight of those who used this part of Jetton and Sefton Park to avoid West Catawba.

Jetton Extension got a makeover

The awkward bump-outs are all gone, as well as on-street parking.

New bike lanes run in both directions.

There is also a 10-foot multi-use path on the south side of Jetton Extension, and a new 27-space public parking lot.
