Poisoned Dwarf Celtic Ensemble
3-4 pm | March 17. Poisoned Dwarf Celtic Ensemble, a Williamsburg-based group, brings toe-tapping favorites to help celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. $20 adults; $15 senior; free for youth and students. St. Albans Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Ln., Davidson.
6 pm | March 17. The Lake Norman Orchestra will kick off their Spring 2024 season. This free, family-friendly concert is open to the public and will include various classical and pop favorites. The performance will also feature talented soloists and the group’s string ensemble. Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Cornelius.

The Huntersville Happy Hour Rotary Club’s family friendly event provides samplings of tasty cuisine prepared by cooking teams who compete for prize money for their favorite charity. Ticket sales support charities that serve the communities of North Mecklenburg and South Iredell counties.Patrons use their admission ticket to vote for their favorite dish or charity in six different food categories. First, second and third place winners are selected by a panel of chefs from well-known area restaurants. Tickets are $20. Tickets for children under 10 are $10. Children under 5 are free. Registration open for Mayors Fitness Challenge
The 2024 Mayors Fitness Challenge will take place for six weeks from April 7 – May 19. The goal is for residues of Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville to have the most active minutes collectively each week. At the end of the six weeks, the town with the highest average total of active minutes will be awarded the Fittest Community trophy.

Hours vary | March 29. Home Grown is an annual mixed media exhibit celebrating our artistic community. Artists of all levels are invited to submit 2D and 3D work. This is a non-juried exhibit that allows our community of artists to explore their creativity.
For the first time, the Cain Center for the Arts has added an exhibit for artists from the ages of 10-16 .
This exhibit is open at the Cornelius Arts Center Gallery, and available to view by the public on 10 am – 4 pm Mondays -Tuesdays and 10 am-1 pm Wednesdays.
