Creative Clay/ Pottery Family Workshop
6:30 pm- 8 pm | Dec. 28. Clayworks will lead participants in a hands-on clay workshop. Space is limited, so reserve your spot. Projects will be taken to Clayworks to be fired and glazed before being returned for pickup. Please allow 3 weeks for this process. David B. 10 am – 1 pm | Jan. 1. Celebrate Hogmanay, a Scottish New Year’s celebration steeped in centuries of rich history. The event is free to attend, but registration is required, and donations are encouraged. Guests can enjoy a warm bowl of vegetable soup catered by Savory Moments and are invited to bring canned goods to donate to Caterpillar Ministries, a local non-profit organization that helps those in need in our community. You can also bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with your friends and family. At First Footin’, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about this ancient Scottish tradition through a guided walk around the property. 46th Annual Lake Norman New Year’s Day Barefoot Skiing Tournament
Noon-3 pm | Jan 1. Barefoot skiers from all over the East Coast come to compete in barefoot skiing starts, trick and endurance all in one single run. The course is in a circle pattern off of the Lake Norman Marina docks. Admission is free, bring lawn chairs concessions will be available. 6965 NC-150, Sherrills Ford 28673.
