Sept. 15. A “Sounds of the Highlands Gala” Sept. 30 will benefit Historic Rural Hill and the Cornelius Youth Orchestras. Doors open at 5 pm, allowing you to explore the former plantation off Beatties Ford Road in Huntersville and soak in the historical significance.

The dinner at 6 pm will feature music from the Cornelius Youth Orchestras, providing an unforgettable journey through the works of Scottish composers.

There will be a cash bar, silent auction and raffle.
