March 13. Davidson residents are invited to celebrate Arbor Day on Saturday, March 18, at the corner of Jackson Street and Main Street, across from the former Davidson Town Hall building, 216 S. Main St.
There will be a brief ceremony at 9 am followed by a tree planting along the adjacent side path. If you are interested in participating in the tree planting event, visit the Davidson Lands Conservancy website for information.
The annual Arbor Day celebration encourages individuals and groups to plant and care for trees.
The Town of Davidson was recently recognized as a 2022 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. This is the 13th year Davidson has been awarded this designation. Community volunteers, the town’s Livability Advisory Board, Trees Davidson—a program of the Davidson Lands Conservancy—and town staff all made contributions.
