Ice skating is available on the Upper Pond of the Whitewater Center. It’s open to all ages and experience levels. Birkdale Village is trying out an ice rink this year, too. Photo Whitewater Center.

Nov. 1. By TL Bernthal. Two outdoor ice-skating rinks will be open to the public this season.

A first-ever rink at Birkdale Village joins the Whitewater Center with ice skating starting this month.

The rink at Birkdale Village will open Saturday, Nov. 19 and run through Monday, Jan. 16. The Whitewater Center skating will be available mid-November through mid-February.

There will not be a skating rink at Christmas in Davidson this year, according to Amanda Preston, Davidson communications manager.
