Oct. 6. As Florida begins the recovery from the devastation of Hurricane Ian, help is still needed on the ground.

Gulf Coast Humane Society in Fort Myers is among the animal welfare organizations that were impacted by the storm, having sustained major structural damage.

Thanks to Lake Norman Transportation, the Lake Norman Humane Society is preparing a truckload of supplies through this weekend to be sent directly to Gulf Coast Humane Society.

Lake Norman Humane is asking for help to fill this truck. A list of the most needed items can be found on the flyer. Any surplus goods will be distributed by Gulf Coast Humane Society to surrounding organizations in need.
