Corvette vs. SUV at Captain’s Watch and Jetton

Oct. 5. All four lanes of Jetton Road were blocked when a late model Corvette collided with a Grand Cherokee which flipped over near the middle of Jetton. Cornelius Police and Fire were on the scene as well as MEDIC and NC State Police.

The accident happened at about 1 pm at the intersection of Captains Watch and Jetton. Officials said injuries were minor; both drivers walked away from the crash.

Police were directing traffic around the wreck, with only one lane of Jetton open at 1:15 pm. There’s no official word on the cause of the accident.

UPDATE 2 pm: All clear on Jetton.
