May 31. The Teen Summer Stock Series is a two-week intensive production aimed at the advanced young adult performer.

Actors will rehearse Monday-Friday 9 am-4 pm with one weekend of performances.

Audition information

If you wish to audition for both shows, those actors may come 5 pm Friday, June 3  or 10 am Saturday, June 4. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition.

“Rent”

Dates:  6-8 pm  Friday, June 3 and 11am – 1pm  Saturday, June 4 at DCP’s Armour Street Theatre 307 Armour St., Davidson.

Those interested should bring 16 bars of a song that shows off their vocal range and ability to act through a song, as well as a recent picture, resume or list of theater experience. An accompanist will be provided; a capella is not encouraged. A short dance audition will be included, so please dress comfortably and be prepared to move. In all cases, auditionees should plan to arrive at the start of the appropriate audition and stay for the entire session.

Production dates  are Aug 5-7. Rehearsals will take place from 9-4pm daily during the weeks of July 25-Aug 5.

“Puffs”

Dates: 6-8 pm Friday, June 3 and 11am – 1pm Saturday, June 4.

Location: DCP’s Armour Street Theatre 307 Armour Street, Davidson.

Those interested should bring a recent picture and resume or list of theatre experience.  Auditions will consist of theatre exercises and cold readings from the script. In all cases, auditionees should plan to arrive at the start of the appropriate audition and stay for the entire session.

Production Dates are Aug 19 – 21. Rehearsals will take place from 9-4 pm daily during the weeks of Aug. 8-19.

Synopsis:

For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs… who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world. For POTTERphiliacs who grew up alongside Potter and are eager to revisit that world, “Puffs” exudes a jovial, winking fondness for all things Harry.”
