May 17. Lake Norman Kiwanis Splashville Park opens for the 2022 season 9 am Saturday, May 21.

The splash pad at Smithville Park is approximately 1,300 square feet. It is ADA accessible, near a picnic shelter (can be reserved), playground and restrooms.

The splash pad is open to the public and may not be reserved for private groups. The nearby shelter is available for reservations, though. Read more here.

Birkdale Village did not respond to a request about when or whether its splash pad will return when renovations are done.
