March 24. The Davidson Rotary Club, the Lake Norman – Huntersville Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of North Mecklenburg County have joined forces to help children around the world access life changing heart surgery by sponsoring a fundraising dinner at NorthStone Country Club.
The dinner is 6-9 pm Wednesday, April 27.
Proceeds will benefit Gift of Life International (GOLI), a non-profit organization, creates sustainable pediatric cardiac programs and regional health centers in under-served locations around the world.
This fundraising event will support a program currently underway in Jamaica. The funds from this event will be matched by a Rotary Vocational Grant to send a team of pediatric cardiologists to Jamaica to train other surgeons and save the lives of 30 children. The funds raised cover the cost of travel, lodging, and all necessary materials to perform these life changing surgical procedures.
