March 17. Woodlawn School will host STEAMfest 2022 from 1 pm to 5 pm Sunday, April 3 on the school’s campus in Mooresville. The mission of STEAMfest is to provide a free opportunity to imagine, discover and explore topics in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM).

Event organizers say there are 350 pre-registered guests. They expect as many as 1,000 people will attend. Yes, there will be food trucks and door prizes.

The first STEAMfest event was held in January 2020 and attracted more than 400 attendees. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, STEAMfest pivoted to a month-long, virtual celebration in 2021, and reached more than 7,000 participants from more than 50 countries.
