July 21. TopDeck Foundation, which has donated two dual-purpose motorcycles to the Cornelius Police Dept., is now raising money for a four-wheel utility vehicle to help officers negotiate various types of terrain around Cornelius.
More agile vehicles make it easier for police to access paths and trails, as well as gas line rights of way and large tracts of land, like those east of Hwy. 115.
The cost of the new utility vehicle is about $36,000.
