June 24. Dudley’s Place, an HIV/AIDS Service organization, officially opens new offices in at 103 Commerce Centre Drive in Huntersville with a ribbon-cutting at 5 pm today. Founded by Dr. Frederick Cruickshank, medical director at Rosedale Health and Wellness, Dudley’s Place addresses the HIV-positive population as well as HIV prevention.
“I wanted to create the non-profit arm of Rosedale Health and Wellness to provide an extra layer of support to ensure that the clients were medically compliant and healthy, but also have a complete support system,” Cruickshank said.
500-plus clients
With a staff of 10, Dudley’s Place serves more than 500 clients per year.
“There are several program we have added this year that are very exciting and beneficial for our clients, including nutrition, mental health and PrEP,” said Dale Pierce, executive director.
There is a full time mental health professional, as well as support groups and psycho-educational groups focusing on relationships, women’s issues and more. Clients have access to onsite laboratory and pharmacy, mental health, nutrition, PrEP Navigator, benefit advocate, research trials and case management services.
A garden provides free vegetables for clients.

The ribbon-cutting at 5 pm today also marks the agency’s second year of providing HIV/AIDS prevention and care.
