May 19. The Mecklenburg County Delegation to the NC General Assembly will host an online Listening Session Thursday, May 20, from 7 to 8 pm with majority of the delegation’s 17 members in attendance. Constituents are encouraged to sign up to speak for up to 2 minutes about issues, concerns in their community and reactions to pending legislation.

“We are required to spend a lot of time in Raleigh, away from the communities we represent. We want to keep in touch with the folks who elected us and know what’s on their minds. That’s why we host regular listening sessions. We want to be accessible to our constituents,” said NC Sen. Natasha Marcus, chair of the delegation.
