Oct. 12. The Town of Huntersville has approved plans for three new cottages to be built on the grounds of The Hope House Foundation. The cottages enhance the Hope House Foundation’s mission to provide transitional housing and supportive services to women and children who are experiencing homelessness In our community.

Hope House is a transitional living shelter located on four acres that can support up to 12 women and children for six months.

Progressive model

The addition of three cottages on the property will provide another phase in the transitional housing model referred to as Progressive.

This teaching home phase called Hope to Home is designed to identify areas of individual growth and assist families in developing the skills needed for sustainability and self-sufficiency.

3 major donors

The Cottages of Lindquist Glen were made possible by support of three major donors who along with their sponsorship named each Cottage.

—Davidson United Methodist sponsored the Joy Cottage

—Jack and Robin Salzman, owners of Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep, sponsored the Landry Grace Cottage.
