Aug. 21. The Neighborhood CARE Center will offer a tutoring program, The Learning Zone, which will run Mondays through  Thursdays.

Organizers would like to provide snacks for the children and are asking for donations of individual serving size chips, cookies, etc. and individual serving size drinks.

Please take your snack donations  to their location:  Neighborhood C.A.R.E. Center, 19711 Smith Circle, Cornelius, and place in the bins on the front porch.

The Learning Zone needs volunteers to facilitate the Learning Zone program for the upcoming school semester when Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools are  100% remote learning.

No teaching experience is required. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Training will be provided.

The minimum commitment requirement for tutors is two sessions per week, same grade, alternating weeks with another tutor for two months.
