4th suspect sought in armed robbery

April 24. Three men are in custody after an armed robbery at a multi-family unit in the 17900 block of Delmas Drive, which is off Bailey Road in the Oakhurst subdivision. Police said a fourth suspect is unknown and presumably still at large.

In a press release, Cornelius Police said four suspects forcibly entered the home, “demanding items” that have not been disclosed because the incident is still an active investigation.

Police also said they could not disclose the type of weapon that was used.

There were four people in the apartment on Delmas which runs from Bailey to Cadman Court at the time of entry, police said.

Three of the suspects were arrested at various locations, but a fourth one is unknown at this point.

Hakeeh Ha, with the assistance of the North Mecklenburg SWAT Team, was arrested at his residence at 16100 Statesville Rd in Huntersville. He was charged with Felony Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Felony Second Degree Kidnapping and Felony Breaking and Entering.

Colin Alexander Lavin was arrested near his residence on Country Club Lane in Cornelius. He was charged with Felony Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery and Felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Devon Miguel Harris turned himself in on April 22, 2020 and was arrested at the Cornelius Police Department.

He was charged with Felony Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery and Felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Police said this was not a random armed robbery and “appeared to be specific to the occupants of this apartment.”
