April 9. A small business owner, a small financial institution and Crime Stoppers came together Thursday afternoon to recognize ordinary citizens who keep an eye out for wrongdoers.
Davis said cars very rarely park where the getaway vehicle—a Chrysler Pacifics—was parked. When Cornelius Police were scouring the area after the robbery, Davis put two and two together and told them about the silver Pacifica.
Detectives later went though security camera footage to help identify the vehicle. Turns out Pacifica was slide seen near the Lake Norman YMCA, where earlier someone had called in a bomb threat as a diversion.
