Sarah Ruhl reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists, and breathtaking visual effects, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story. Sunday, May 5
Join us for the town’s annual music and arts festival. The event will also feature the grand opening of the renovated old town jail. 2-6 p.m. at Huntersville Parks and Recreation.
The music ministry will present “Praise Him With Instruments,” an evening of music by the church’s handbell, choir chimes, student sign language and orchestra ensembles. 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Mooresville.
Kids in America will perform. 6-8 p.m. on the Davidson Town Green.
Andrew Finn Magill will perform “Canta, Violino!” 7 p.m. at The Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius.
