Mrs. Shelley Kay Lindsay Greene, 38, of Cornelius, NC died February 15, 2015. Born March 12, 1976 in Winston Salem, she was the loving wife of Doug Green and daughter of James L. Lindsay, Jr of Clemmons, NC and Kay Laffoon of Mooresville, NC. To anyone who knew Shelley, knew of her love for her family, her passion for helping others and her lifetime love of animals. She was owner of Graffiti Salon in Cornelius and loved to share her abilities by teaching aspiring stylist and was an avid golfer. She and her husband, Doug, raised money for family members battling cancer and helped many local charities. Shelley had a strong desire for helping others in need. She touched so many lives.
A celebration of her life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday February 20, 2015 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. Casual dress is encouraged
In addition to her parents, Jim Lindsay and Kay Laffoon, she is survived by her husband, Doug Greene; her “bonus children” Reilly Greene and Brock Drawdy; sisters, Laurie Califf and husband Jim, Brittany Lindsay and fiancé , Jose; in-laws, Howard and Patsy Greene; brother-in-law, Bryan Greene and wife Lynn; her precious niece, Katy; her sweet little nephews, Rowan, Chase and Collin; along with numerous extended family and many loving friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be sent to Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center, 2407 Simonton Road Statesville, NC 28625 or your local Humane Society in Shelley’s Honor.
