In the wake of recent and tragic deaths in the community, the Smithville Community Coalition will hold a “Prayer Vigil For All Our Communities” on Saturday morning July 15. The gathering will take place in the Cornelius Community Garden at 7:30 am, followed by a walk through the Smithville neighborhood, a historically black community which was once on the edge of Cornelius.
