BROWN

Grover Cleveland Brown, Jr. 94 of Charlotte died Wednesday February 18, 2015 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.  Born October 27, 1920 in Croft NC he was a son of the late Grover Cleveland Brown, Sr. and Dixie Lee Merritt Brown. He was a charter member of Northdale Baptist Church, a US Air Force Veteran and retired mechanic from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System.  He was devoted to his family, loved to farm, ramble and visit, was a handyman and had a great sense of humor.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Saturday February 21, 2015 at Northdale Baptist Church with Rev. McCray Holmes officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery West. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the church.

He is survived by his son, Ted ‘Rusty” Brown (Gina); daughters, Jeannie Echerd (Ed), Betty Juhan (Steve), Susan Chapman (Tom), Kristie Pepper (Waine); sister, Nell Long and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hubble Brown, son, Tim Brown four brothers and three sisters.
