Oct. 16. Davidson Community Players will mount two of its 2024 shows at Cain Center for the Arts in Cornelius.
Davidson Community Players’ first show at Cain Center will be Disney’s “Frozen Jr.,” which will run from Jan.25-27, 2024.
Adapted from the 2013 movie, this one-hour version of the Broadway musical will enchant families across the region.
“Frozen Jr.” will be Davidson Community Players’ first entry in its educational Connie Company series in 2024 and the most ambitious youth musical to date, starring a cast all under the age of 18.
Davidson Community Players will then return to the Cain Center 11 months later for its annual holiday show. Lauren Gunderson’s “Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley” will run from Dec. 5-15 and will round out the company’s 5-show adult Main Stage Season.
One of the most produced plays of the past several years, Pemberley continues the story of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice,” this time with the bookish Mary at the center.
Cain Center for the Arts’ Executive Director Justin Dionne says hosting the Davidson Community Players aligns with the center’s core values
Tickets will be on sale soon for Frozen Jr. at cainarts.org. Davidson Community Players subscribers will also have first dibs at priority seats for these two productions when 2024 packages become available.
