Warm up those arms for the seventh annual Stand-Up Paddleboard Race on Saturday at Port City Club. Events include a 6.2-mile elite course, a 2.5-mile recreational course and a kids’ race. Best of all, proceeds will go to local charities, including Big Day at the Lake, the Peninsula Community Foundation and Pat’s Place.

On Saturday afternoon, head over to Robbins Park for the opening reception of Beyond Walls, the annual outdoor art exhibit. Meet the artists, enjoy live entertainment and crafts–fun for the whole family!

In honor of National Women Build Week, Lowe’s and Our Towns Habitat for Humanity will hold a construction orientation event with breakfast, DJ, door prizes and mini clinics such as “Mighty Miter Saw” and “Measure Twice, Cut Once.” Registration required. 7:30-11 a.m. at Lowe’s in Huntersville.
