If you’re an egg, Saturday is your day in the sun! Check out Hop Into Spring, Cornelius’s annual family event featuring egg-themed activities and much more, including popular local food vendors Tenders and A Worthy Dog. There’s an egg hunt fundraiser at Bruster’s, and an egg hunt Easter celebration at Mount Zion UMC. While you’re planning your spring, go ahead and order tickets for the annual gala benefit for the Ada Jenkins Center. It will be held April 14 at Sweet Magnolia Estate in Cornelius.

Connecting Cornelius
Informal networking, brief presentations from elected officials and question-and-answer sessions. This month, the discussion will focus on an anticipated $24-$26 million bond for major road projects in our area. 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Cornelius Town Hall.
First Date
Google background checks, awkward pauses and bailouts punctuate this unforgettable first encounter between two romantics who just might be perfect for each other–or not. Presented by the Davidson Community Players. March 22-April 1 at the Armour Street Theatre in Davidson.
Lake Norman Covekeepers
Master Gardener Cynthia Jones will discuss native plants, their importance in our ecosystem, and how to use them in landscaping. Native plants will be awarded as door prizes. 7 p.m. at the East Lincoln Fire Department in Stanley.
Home Grown Exhibition
Annual local art showcase featuring a variety of works by more than 125 artists from Cornelius and surrounding areas. Open through March 30 at the Cornelius Arts Center Gallery.

Car Show
All makes, models and years welcome at the third annual Top Deck Car and Truck Show. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Town Center Parking Garage in Huntersville.
Easter Egg Hunt
Games, crafts, bounce houses and lunch. 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Cornelius.
Pottery and Antiques Festival
More than 100 potters and vendors from across the southeast will exhibit and sell their unique artistry and craftsmanship, including historical pottery, textiles, folk art, baskets and furniture. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Hickory Metro Convention Center.
Easter Eggstravaganza
Live bunnies, DJ, prizes, food, crafts, Easter egg hunt, free photos with the Easter Bunny. A portion of ice cream sales will go to the Hope for Hair Foundation. Donations will be collected for cancer patients’ Easter baskets. Noon-2 p.m. March 24-25 at Bruster’s in Cornelius.
Hop Into Spring
Bring your Easter baskets for egg-themed activities, candy, balloon twisters, photos with the Easter Bunny, music and more. 2-4 p.m. at Robbins Park in Cornelius.
Community Blood Drive
The Huntersville Fire Department, Huntersville Police Department and Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office square off in the annual "Battle of the Badges" to collect the most donations for the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas plus a $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Birkdale Village in Huntersville.
Family Talent Showcase
Imusination is a new event series showcasing talent right here in our community. Please contact us if you’d like to participate. 7 p.m. at Oak Street Mill in Cornelius.

Easter Musical
The sanctuary choir, orchestra and soloists will present “Through the Torn Curtain.” 8:30 and 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Mooresville.
Easter Egg Hunt
Wagon rides, princesses, balloons, face painting, bounce house, animals, Easter Bunny photos. Egg hunts grouped by age. March 25 and 31 at Zootastic Park in Troutman.
Adult Chocolate Seder
Steve Kerbel will lead a Seder program with chocolate liqueurs, fruit dipped in chocolate and other chocolate treats. Kerbel will also discuss unique ways to enliven our own Seders. 2-4 p.m. at Congregation Emanuel in Statesville.
