A new 120,000 square-foot rec facility, on Hwy. 115 south of Bailey Road, will be designed with input from local residents, so make your preferences known at the public meeting at Bailey Middle School on Monday. This Friday, mix and mingle with music, craft beer, food trucks and kids’ activities at Second Friday Street Festival at the Oak Street Mill.

Thursday, Aug. 10
Catawba Regional Hospice will discuss techniques on becoming a better caregiver during difficult situations. CNAs and nurses can earn continuing education credit. Reservations required. 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Summit Place of Mooresville.
