Town Hall: Potts St. hearing cancelled

Sept. 18. The public hearing on the Potts Street development has been canceled. Crescent Communities, has withdrawn their application.

It is now unclear whether the original proposal, which called for nine homes in Cornelius as part of 295 units in Davidson, will ever come before the Cornelius Town Board.

“It’s my understanding that the developer is considering submitting a plan that will be wholly located within Davidson,” said Davidson Planning Director Jason Burdette. “This would be a significant redesign of the project.”

With no public hearings on the calendar, the meeting will be largely an information gathering session with updates on the CATS North Corridor Transit Study, the CMS School Bond Proposal, and the 2019 Mecklenburg County revaluation. The board is expected to make appointments to the town’s Architectural Review Board and PARC Commission.

The meeting will begin at 7 pm in Town Hall on Catawba Avenue.
