The rain and clouds will go away in time for the symphony under the stars. Accuweather says it will be partly cloudy in Cornelius by 6 pm or 7 pm, and partly sunny by 8. Singer Rockie Lynne will get us started at 6:45 pm, the symphony gets under way at 8:15 and fireworks follow. This is always great fun at Bailey Road Park.

The turf fields are designed to not retain any excess water, meaning the lawn should be dry enough in time for the concert.

Bring your blankets and chairs, coolers and picnic baskets, but no glass, pets or smokes.

The free KidZone will be open from 6 to 8; concessions will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Wine and craft beer proceeds benefit Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists. Parking is available at Bailey Road Park, Bailey Middle School, and the lower lot of WA Hough High School. Shuttles available including ADA accessible options.
