Roy Douglas “Doug” Greene, born Jan. 28, 1964 to the late Roy E. Greene and Faye Johnson Greene, graduated from North Mecklenburg High School in 1982. Doug was a licensed Auctioneer from 1984-2004.  He was employed by ElectricCities of N.C. and the Towns of Cornelius and Huntersville. His hobbies included dirt track racing, riding his motorcycle with friends, and just hanging out at the legion with the guys. He was a charter member of SAL Post 321 in Huntersville, and a former member of the Huntersville Volunteer Fire Department. He was a current member of the Boone Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Greene; parents Roy and Faye Green; and both sets of grandparents. He is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his canine buddy Sam. Doug knew from experience to live every day like it was your last, because there is no promise for tomorrow. Graveside services were Saturday, June 10 at at Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville.
